A Bromley man has issued a desperate plea for the public's help after his 7-year-old parrot went missing.

Enrico Manca says parrot Chloe disappeared from her home in Bromley Common, near Bromley golf course, last Wednesday (September 10).

Enrico and wife Aya have owned Chloe since she was three months old.

The 39-year-old told News Shopper: "It's the first time she's gone missing.

"She may be starving and thirsty now if she's alive so she will be very weak.

"She's very friendly. She will tend normally to go up to people. She's very noisy.

"You wouldn't believe how friendly parrots can be. She would be on my wife's shoulder and arm. She would come and sleep in our bed.

"We are really desperate because for a parrot every hour is crucial, they may not survive on the wildness.

"Myself and Aya don't have any children and it is very important for us to find her or at least to know she's fine."

Chloe was last spotted on Sunday (September 14) in West Wickham. It is thought she will be in the area between West Wickham and New Addington.
