A second man has been arrested in connection with attempted sexual assault and attempting to take a child in Walton.

Three incidents happened between the riverside and Terrace Road area between 5pm and 6.30pm on September 1.

A man in his 70's from Addlestone was arrested on suspicion of attempted sexual assault and suspicion of attempting to take a child.

He has been released on bail until October 21.

Detective Constable Mike Cresswell of North Surrey CID, said: "As a result of our recent witness appeal and further enquiries another man has been arrested in connection with the incidents earlier this month.

"However, the investigation still remains ongoing and I urge anyone who may have seen something suspicious at around the time of the offences to contact police - any information could prove vital in bringing the man responsible to justice."

A man in his 80's, from Walton, who was arrested in connection with these incidents has had his bail cancelled and no further action will be taken.
