Police have revised details of an armed robbery on a bookmaker.

Ladbrokes in Chingford was targeted last Wednesday at around 8.20pm.

The Flying Squad say the robbery was carried out by one man, rather than Scotland Yard’s initial claim three people were involved.

The robber entered the shop in Kings Road and intimated that he had a gun.

He then handed the cashier a note demanding money. Cash was handed over and the man left the shop.

He turned left into Pretoria Road, where police believe there was a getaway car waiting for him.

The suspect was described as Asian, about 5ft6ins to 5ft9ins, of medium build and wearing a dark hooded top.
