A man suffered electric burns after falling into power cables on a railway.
The man, thought to be 30, was taken to hospital in the early hours of this morning after the fall on the London Overground at Lea Bridge Road in Leyton, between Walthamstow Queens Road and Leyton Midland Road stations.
The London Ambulance Service's specialist hazardous environments team said on Twitter as paramedics were rushing to the scene: "On the way to a male who has electrocuted himself on overhead trains (sic) lines in Walthamstow."
An ambulance spokeswoman said: “We were called at 4.23am to Lea Bridge Road to reports of an incident involving a fall.
“We sent a single responder in a car, our hazard area response team, a duty officer and London's Air Ambulance in a car.
“We treated one patient - a man - for burns. He was taken to hospital, escorted by the doctor from London's Air Ambulance.”
There are currently no closures reported by Transport for London on the Barking to Gospel Oak line.
