A woman returned home to find her house broken into and £1,000 of jewellery stolen, after speaking to two men on a motorbike who then rode off.
The burglary happened on Tuesday afternoon in Fairmile Lane, Cobham, between 1.15pm and 2pm, after a window was smashed to gain entry.
Several gold rings, including one of a diamond and amethyst cluster design, a red gold band, a square-shaped amethyst ring, a wedding ring and Gucci watch were among the jewellery taken.
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen two teenagers on a motorbike in the area. The motorbike number plate was reported as LJ58CXG.
The rider was a white man, aged about 18 years old, slim and about 5ft 8in, wearing a black zip jacket with white paint splattered over it and black trousers.
The passenger was a white man, slim and also aged 18 years old, slim, about 5ft 8in and wearing a black jacket, dark bottoms with a helmet covering half of his face.
Detective Constable Phil Carter said: "The victim is very upset by the ordeal and we are doing everything we can to trace the items taken as they have great sentimental worth and are irreplaceable."
