Foodies are getting ready to enjoy the best of the borough's food and drink with a food festival hoping to create a new landmark on the food-lovers' trail.
Joining forces with Fantastic British Food Festivals, Elmbirdge Council has launched the inaugural 2014 Elmbridge Food Festival at Painshill, Cobham, and expects more than 8,000 visitors.
There will be demonstrations from local chefs, children's activities, tastings, talks and hands-on experiences.
Entry to the two-day festival, running September 27 and 28 is free, and visitors will be able to spend happy hours browsing the many food and wine stalls.
Councillor John O'Reilly, council leader, said: "This festival is not only about fantastic food and families, but it is also about supporting our great local food retailers, growing the local economy an highlighting Elmbridge as a destination of choice."
