The voting is open to find the best local retailer across three towns in Sutton.

The Sutton, Cheam and Worcester Park Independent Shop of the Year competition, gives the public the chance to decide which independent shop deserves recognition for its service.

Voting is open until Thursday, October 16, with the winner set to be announced on October 23.

The competition has been launched by the prospective Conservative MP for Sutton and Cheam Paul Scully.

He said: "I am a small business owner committed to supporting local retailers who create jobs for local people, protect the character of our high streets, and help to build a healthy local economy."

One of the voters of the winning shop will win £100 to spend in the store.

The public can chose from over 300 independent retailers offering a variety of goods and services.
