IT’S been a summer of hard work, followed by celebration, for the Orloff family this year.

The three sisters, all current or former pupils of St Helen’s School, Northwood, received their university, A-level and GCSE results this summer, achieving stunning success all round.

Megan, who left St Helen’s in 2011, received a first-class honours degree in aeronautical wngineering from Sheffield University and now intends to remain in Sheffield to teach maths, having been awarded a scholarship by the Institute of Mathematics.

As well as being a first-class student at St Helen’s, Megan made an invaluable contribution to school life as charities prefect and head of the RAF section in the Combined Cadet Force.

Her sister, Courtney, received her A-level results this summer, achieving an A* in biology and A grades in maths and chemistry.

During her time at St Helen’s she was deputy head girl and an active leader in the CCF’s RAF section, ran the school science club and was a member of the Phab charity team, helping to organise a residential week of activities for a group of disabled children.

Courtney will now follow her older sister to Sheffield, where she will study dentistry.

Having to wait until the end of summer for her GCSE results, the pressure was on for youngest sibling Roxanne, who wept tears of joy as she opened her results envelope to reveal eight A*s and three A grades.

Roxy will now enter the sixth form at St Helen’s, where she will study economics, history, maths and RE at A-level. Roxy has also been involved with CCF as Head of Year 11 Flight (RAF).

All three siblings have been heavily involved in life at St Helen’s, raising more than £25,000 over three years for Help for Heroes.

The girls have marched with the CCF at half-time at Watford Football Club, published a cook book with cadet and celebrity recipes and bagged shopping for customers at Waitrose in Northwood, alongside boys from Merchant Taylors’ School, in aid of charity.
