A 30-year-old woman was raped as she walked along a footpath in the middle of the day.

Detectives have launched an investigation into the assault which took place on Wednesday, August 27 at approximately 12.30pm.

The woman was approached by a man as she walked along a footpath between Roxborough Park and Landsdowne Road, in Harrow.

The man threatened her with a bottle before he assaulted her.

Police have described the attacker as black, between the ages of 27 and 32 years, around 5ft 9in and 5ft 10ins tall and was wearing a blue jacket and carrying a bag on his back.

Police Command are investigating and want speak to anyone who saw or spoke to a man in that location between 11am and 1pm on the day of the incident.

Detectives from the Metropolitan police’s Sexual Offences Exploitation and Child Abuse are investigating the attack and urge witnesses to get in contact.
