Remorseless men laughed at a teenage girl during a “nasty” unprovoked attack in the street last week.

Two men walked up behind a 16-year-old as she went down Upper High Street towards Alexandra Road, Epsom, between 11.40 and 11.50am on Thursday, August 21.

The attackers asked what she had on her but she kept ignoring them so they pushed her to the ground.

Afterwards, the men laughed at the teenager left with cuts to her face, hands and knees. But then cars started to drive past and they ran off in panic.

The white men, about 20 years old, had average builds, what police described as local accents and wore dark or grey tracksuit bottoms.

Detective Constable Kirsty Webb said: "This was a nasty and unprovoked attack which left the teenage victim shaken.

"The two men showed no remorse for what they had done by laughing at the girl afterwards before approaching cars made them panic and run off.

"I would urge anybody who was driving along that road at the time to get in touch with any information you have.”
