A man attempting to jump start his car was injured in a road collision earlier today.
The man, in his 30s, broke down at the junction of Percy Road and High Road, North Finchley, just before 2pm.
He was standing between the two cars which were facing each other, but the second car rolled forward, trapping him in between.
Paramedics and the London Fire Brigade were called to the scene and he was rushed to Barnet Hospital with leg and knee injuries.
Helen Michael, who works at Cafe Buzz, in High Road, said: “The man was really badly shaken and clearly in shock. A St John’s ambulance man was on the scene very quickly.
“His leg was really bruised, and he started shaking. They tried to calm him down. The police were on the scene very quickly.
“The emergency services were brilliant.”
The road was closed for an hour but has since reopened.
