If there is someone you want to express your gratitude to, whether they donated a kidney or opened a door for you, we want to hear about it.

Here’s who readers are thanking this week:

I would like to say thank you to the taxi driver who gave myself, my daughter and three grandchildren a lift up to our cars in Greenwich. We were all soaked due to the sudden torrential thunderstorm while in Greenwich park, the children were all upset and crying, yet he refused to take any payment. You are a truly great person and thank you so much.

I would like to thank the Princess Royal University Hospital. My little sister had to be put to sleep to have an operation to have some of her teeth taken out. When she was awake again, the staff at the hospital were very comforting and made her feel well again. A member of staff there even finished his shift and was in the recovery room until she felt better and was allowed to go home. Thank you.

I'd like to say a big Thanks to all the people who donated so generously during our yearly fundraising campaign we hold. Without the support of our friends in the local communities we wouldn't be able to raise funds for ADRA to help those who are less fortunate.

Dear PubSpy, thank you for your review of my establishment. The comments about the social aspects of the pub were most welcome, as this is an area that I have really tried to focus on - the mantra about giving people a reason to visit and return! It was a shame you couldn’t sample our food, which I am very proud of. Maybe next time?

Stuart Shirley, manager at The Chelsfield Public House
