Four middle-aged men, who describe themselves as "unfit, unlikely and unable", are preparing to cycle 165 miles for charity.

The team, dubbed the Mid Life Crisis Cycling Society, will start their bike ride from West Ewell Social Club, in West Ewell, to the village of Docking in Norfolk on September 28.

Martin Knight, 56, Roger Collis, 62, Tony Collis, 60, and Kevin Merchant, 55, are doing the bike ride in aid of charity The Residents Enjoyment and Entertainment Society (TREES).

TREES provides leisure experiences for physically and mentally disabled adults and children.

Mr Knight said: "We leave on the Sunday morning from West Ewell Social Club and hope to arrive in Norfolk on the Wednesday or Thursday depending on limbs not falling off.

"The four of us are all Epsom and Ewell born and bred with a combined age of 233."

The team have already raised £725.
