City of London Freemen’s School achieved an overall 100 per cent pass rate in this year’s GCSEs.

All 89 Year 11 students at the public school, in Ashtead Park, achieved five or more passes at grades A* to C .

80 per cent of GCSE grades were either A* or As, with 49.6 per cent of grades at A*. 

42 per cent of Freemen’s students achieved straight A* and A grades in all subjects, which is higher than ever before, and just under 10 per cent got A*s in every subject.

Headmaster Philip MacDonald said: “I am again delighted with the results achieved by our GCSE students this year.

“I congratulate the students themselves and their teachers who have worked hard for these superb results.”
