Children and parents gathered in a park to hear tales of nature at a storytelling show.

The free event at Harrow Recreation Ground was the first in a series of shows being put on in parks across the borough.

More than a dozen children and their families listened to stories with the theme of The Grass is Green from performers Claudia Mernick and Lawrence Mathias.

Ms Mernick says she is delighted to be able to put on the shows at parks and hoped the shows would promote and celebrate the borough’s green spaces.

The next show will be today in Pinner Memorial Park, with the final performance taking place in Canons Park on Wednesday August 27.

There will be two performances on each day starting at 2pm and 3.30pm.
