Police are investigating a hit and run which left a moped rider injured.

Officers were called to an accident involving a moped and a car at around 2.20pm yesterday in Lea Bridge Road in Leyton, close to Argall Way.

The moped rider, a 30-year-old man, was taken to hospital with a minor arm injury.

Police are now searching for the driver of the car, who made off on foot towards Markhouse Road, Leyton.

No arrests have been made.
