Police blocked access to Walthamstow Central Station this afternoon after receiving reports of a ‘suspicious package’.

Officers blocked access to the public from all surrounding roads, including Hoe Street.

No official statement has been released over what was discovered at the scene.

The roads were re-opened around 40 minutes ago.
