This is the mangled aftermath of a Metropolitan police patrol car which hit a London bus this afternoon.

A traffic warden can be seen apparently chuckling after the smash which happened at 2.21pm outside Sainsburys in London Road, Morden.

The bumper of the police car was hanging off and the bus was damaged too.

A police spokesman said no-one was injured.

Pretty sure that's a bus driver, not a traffic warden. And it's a Dial-a-Ride minibus. Other than that, great reporting.

It was in fact a ticket inspector that was laughing as was everyone that was there. The reporter is correct, the police car crashed into a double decker bus and it was his fault not the bus driver. The dial a ride had nothing to do with the incident but was parked outside sainsburys where the collision happened.

In actual fact what really happened is the dial a ride bus was parked and the police car was parked behind it, went to pull out and a bus hit the police car which then pushed the police car into the back of the parked dial a ride bus.
