Police are investigating after tools worth more than £30,000 were stolen from a car in Hinchley Wood last month.

The tools were taken from a black Renault Laguna parked outside the owner's home in Hinchley Way on Wednesday, July 23.

The theft is believed to have happened at about 2.15am and tools stolen include a Weller Pyropen soldering iron, screwdrivers, wire cutters, gas torch, Fluke Mulimeter, spanners, a Makita drill, tool cases and an IBAG high speed spindle.

Police have released CCTV images of two men seen in the area at the time of the theft and officers want to speak to them as they may have information vital to the investigation.

Katy Darke, investigating officer, said: "We are also keen to speak to anyone who may have details of the men in the CCTV image or may have since been approached to buy tools at a suspiciously low price or with dubious ownership history."

Police are also urging people not to keep tools in vehicles and to put security measures in place.

Anyone with information on the theft should call Surrey Police on 101, quoting reference 45140061486, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
