A plea date has been set for a man accused of attacking a supermarket worker as he made his way home from work.
Modhiraj Sanghia, of Banbury Road in Walthamstow, is accused of stabbing the 20-year-old in Higham Hill Road on July 24.
The 42-year-old faces charges of wounding with intent, otherwise known as greivous bodily harm, and possession of a bladed article.
He appeared via prison video link at Snaresbrook Crown Court yesterday and has been remanded to enter a plea on October 28.
The 20-year-old suffered a single stab wound in the back and was discharged from hospital after three days.
