The tail end of Hurricane Bertha is certainly producing some bizarre weather including snow today in Sutton.
Shortly before 1.45pm a few flurries of small flakes of snow were seen falling outside the windows of 20 storey Quadrant House in the centre of the town.
One eyewitness said. “I couldn’t believe my eyes. This is August, it doesn’t snow in England in August.
"But then the Sutton Guardian’s website’s weather panel has been saying there is a 0% chance of rain today, and I have just heard two claps of thunder and it is now pouring down."
