The second day of the Chingford Big Weekender was called off due to bad weather.
Due to torrential downpours overnight and this morning, the ground conditions at Ridgeway Park in Old Church Road have been deemed unsuitable.
In a statement posted online, the Waltham Forest council said: "Unfortunately due to inclement weather, we have had to cancel the second day of the Chingford Big Weekender.
"The ground conditions are not suitable for large crowds and it is with regret that we are unable to proceed with the event."
The rain held off for day one of the festival, with temperatures hitting the mid 20s as Sister Sledge, Gwen Dickey of Rose Royce and Soul II Soul took to the stage.
By the time the live entertainment started at around 3pm, the park had reached its capacity and the organisers had to revert to a one-in one-out policy.
Thousands made the most out of the day by setting up picnics and seating areas, while others stood up and danced and sang as inflatable balls were passed through the crowd.
