Thieves broke in to a Walton home before stealing keys and an Audi.

The red Audi Quattro S3 was stolen from a house in Rydens Road at about 2am on Tuesday, August 5, after offenders broke into the home and stole a number of keys.

Keys for the car were taken and the burglars sped toward Stanwell.

Detective Constable Phillip Newey said: "This was a frightening ordeal that has left the owners distressed and shaken.

"We are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious at the time to contact us a matter of urgency.

"Perhaps you heard or saw something in Rydens Road itself or saw a red Audi Quattro S3 being driven erratically or at speed through Walton and Stanwell in the early hours of Tuesday morning."

The car had the registration plates of RX63 0EY but police said they may have been changed.
