A charity is calling on people to take on a personal challenge in the name of multiple sclerosis.

The MS Society is urging people to kick a habit, enter a race or create their own challenge during September to try and raise money for MS research.

In Enfield, around 400 people are living with MS, but a recent survey showed 50 per cent of people could not name one symptom of the condition.

Holly Lambert, community and events fundraising manager at the charity, said: “There are around 400 people in Enfield and over 100,000 people in the UK living with MS yet many people don’t fully understand the condition.

“We’re encouraging people to sign up to ChallengeMS to find out more about MS and take on a personal challenge during September – whether you decide to quit a habit, take on a creative challenge, enter a race, or simply make a change to your daily life - the choice is yours.”
