Bromley police have released an image of a distinctive solid silver brooch stolen in a West Wickham burglary.

Officers say a house in Kingsway was hit overnight between July 31 and August 1.

As well as the ‘London Sweetheart brooch’, other jewellery, including two valuable watches, was taken.

Police are hoping to track down the items and say they will stand out if spotted.

Detective constable Jim Stokes from the Bromley’s burglary squad said: "This is a very distinctive item that will be immediately recognisable.

“If you have been offered this item to purchase, or if you were in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious, please contact the Burglary Squad at Bromley on 0208 284 8744 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
