An independent inquiry has been launched into Haringey Council’s handling of a paedophile case at Highgate Wood School.
The inquiry, led by the Local Safeguarding Children Board, will look into the way in which the school and council dealt with the case of former PE teacher Andrew Adams, who was recently jailed for abusing a pupil in the 1980s.
The case has been widely reported following further revelations about other teachers’ behaviour at Highgate Wood School from former pupil and BBC reporter Robert Peston.
