A Walthamstow man accused of stabbing a Co-Op worker last month will appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court next week.
Modhiraj Sanghia, 42, of Banbury Road in Walthamstow, is charged with wounding with intent and possession of a bladed article following an incident in Higham Hill Road on July 24.
Police were called to the scene on the corner of Gloucester Road at around 11pm after receiving reports of a stabbing.
A 20 year-old Co-Operative worker was stabbed in the lower back as he made his way home work and taken to an east London hospital as a priority.
Sanghia was remanded in custody to appear at Thames Magistrates Court on July 26 and remains until his next appearance at Snaresbrook Crown Court on August 12.
