Two teenagers have been arrested after a man was seriously assaulted in Walton.

The victim, a 29-year-old man, was walking along Hersham Road at about 9pm on Saturday, July 26. when he was allegedly punched and kicked by two boys near Perfect Pizza and the fish and chip shop.

The man was left with multiple injuries to his face and a broken rib and was taken by ambulance to St Peter’s Hospital, Chertsey, before being discharged.

Police arrested a 14-year-old boy from Walton and a 15-year-old boy from Hersham on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and were released on bail until September 7 while the investigation continues.

Police want anyone who was in the area and saw the incident to come forward.
