A lorry driver charged with causing death by careless driving is due in court today.
Barry Meyer, 52, of Aubrey Road in Walthamstow is accused of causing the death of 54 year-old Alan Neve in High Holborn during the morning rush-hour on July 15 last year.
Meyer, a tipper truck driver was been charged with a licence offences for not holding the correct HGV licence, driving without insurance and causing death by careless driving.
Mr Neve of Poplar was pronounced dead at the scene, and his death sparked a wave of protests calling on the government to make cycling safer in London.
The Audrey Road resident is due to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court today.
