A thief has been caught on CCTV stealing two coffee machines. 

The man stole the goods worth £90 from a branch of Wilkinson in High Street, Walthamstow, on June 23. 

The footage shows him walking into the store at 1.50pm and picking up two own-brand coffee machines before leaving. 

The CCTV image has been released to the Guardian as part of a joint venture with the Metropolitan Police to identify potential perpetrators of unsolved crimes in the borough.

Anyone with information is asked contact Waltham Forest police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Prevention is easier and more efficient than cure though, especially when the police claim to be under pressure with cut backs to their budget.
