THIRTY arrests were made in Ealing during the latest Operation Big Wing targeting key neighbourhood crimes and related offences.

The Met carried out a co-ordinated day of action in the capital on Thursday, July 24, targeting those involved in violence with injury, robbery, personal theft, burglary, theft of and from vehicles and criminal damage.

It involved more than 4,800 officers and other staff from across London’s 32 boroughs.

More than 689 arrests were made, including more than 100 for drugs offences.

On the day, 240 warrants were executed on premises across London.

Commander Steve Watson, leading the operation, said: “The impressive results from Operation Big Wing demonstrate our unwavering commitment to driving down crime and its generators in London.”
