A man was rescued from his car by firefighters after a crash on the M25 this morning.
The fire service was called to the scene between junction 8, at Reigate, and junction 9, at Leatherhead, at 6am.
A Leatherhead fire station spokesman said: "One person was extricated from a car."
A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesman said an ambulance attended the scene just before junction 9.
He said: "One man, a driver of a car aged in his 30s, was assessed and treated at the scene for back pain before being taken to East Surrey Hospital in Redhill."
