A Twickenham schoolgirl went snorkelling with Prince William at a special event, marking the handover of the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) presidency.
Sophia Hambleton-Grey, 13, joined a small group of BSAC snorkellers at the reception and also met Prince Charles.
It was announced in May that the Duke of Cambridge was to follow the family tradition and take the helm at the organisation.
Sophia, who attends Orleans Park School in Twickenham, practised putting on fins, masks and snorkels with Prince William.
She was also handed a certificate from the Prince of Wales for her role in the ceremonial ocassion.
She said: "My memory from the day will be shaking the Prince of Wales hand and snorkelling with the Duke.
"There are not many people who can say they have done that all in one day.
"When the Prince of Wales presented me with my certificate, he talked to me about my snorkelling and scuba diving and I told him about when I went scuba diving in Sharm el Sheikh."
