A father and daughter will saddle up for a bike ride to raise money for diabetes.
Brittany Maher-Kirk, who lives in Highgate, persuaded her father Stewart Maher to join in the event for Diabetes UK.
Ms Maher-Kirk, who works for the charity, was inspired to take on the challenge after her grandmother was diagnosed with the condition.
She said: “Type 2 diabetes runs in our family, so both dad and I have both seen how difficult life can be with the condition.
“My grandma has been very fortunate with the care she receives but, after having worked for Diabetes UK for two years, I now know that a lot of people with diabetes aren’t so lucky.”
Ride100 is a 100-mile road race which sees cyclists set off from the Queen Elizabeth Park on Sunday, finishing at The Mall in central London on Sunday, August 10.
