The full inquest into the death of Peaches Geldof is taking place in Gravesend this morning.

It is due to commence at Gravesend Old Town Hall from 10am.

At its opening in May the inquest heard that the 25-year-old's husband found her in a spare room at the home they shared in Wrotham, Kent, on 7 April after she failed to answer the phone.

A statement from Detective Chief Inspector Paul Fotheringham was heard during the brief hearing in front of North West Kent coroner Roger Hatch.

He told the hearing that recent heroin use "was likely to have played a role" in her death.

He described the unsuccessful efforts her husband, musician Tom Cohen, made to contact his wife before he found her body.

Hours before the TV presenter was found dead, Ms Geldof posted a picture online of herself as a young child in the arms of her TV presenter and writer mother.

At her funeral service in Davington, near Faversham, Ms Geldof's body was carried into church in a poignantly-decorated coffin which included a picture of her young family.
