The co-defendant of singer and former X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has also walked free from court.

Michael Coombs, 35, of Velocity Way, in Enfield joined the N-Dubz star, who lives in Friern Barnet, as the pair's trial over drug allegations collapsed.

Judge Alistair McCreath told Southward Crown Court today that he believed undercover reporter Mazher Mahmood had lied to the court.

Otherwise known as the Fake Sheikh, Mr Mahmood, had posed as a wealthy film producer called Samir Khan when he met the former X Factor judge at several luxury hotels and restaurants.

He claimed the singer said she could get cocaine for him when he offered her a lead role in a film.

Ms Contostavlos denied the charges whilst Judge McCreath said there are "strong grounds" to believe the undercover reporter, Mahzer Mahmood, had "lied" during a previous hearing.

Mr Coombs, also known as Mike GLC, had pleaded guilty to supplying half an ounce of cocaine.

However, he has also walked free after the judge said the case could not proceed against him.
