I am writing as a supporter of Friends of Pinner Park Farm.
Please help this group, which is fighting to prevent either a country park or development there, and the terrible loss of a tenanted working farm that is a great asset in the borough.
It is of historical importance right on our doorstep — teaching children how and where food comes from and giving the next generation a reverence for the environment and history.

The consultation time is ludicrously short with scant publicity about the loss of rural character to yet more urban sprawl if the Harrow Borough Council proposals go ahead.
We must fight the loss of an unspoilt, well-used oasis that livestock and hay-making bring to life and enrich residents’ lives at no cost to the taxpayer — unlike a country park with upkeep costs or expensive housing in the wrong place.
