A teenager who sustained a serious head injury after being attacked with a rounders bat has been released from hospital. 

The 19 year-old was repeatedly struck with the weapon in Courtney Mews, Walthamstow, on June 24.

He was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Serivce (LAS) in a serious condition and was initially treated at the scene by two members of the public.

Police were unable to say when the victim was discharged or if the victim had made a full recovery.  

The brutal attack at around 3pm took place behind St James Street station in the car park depot area where the 212 and 275 bus terminates.

Police are appealing for information after it was witnessed by various people who had congregated by the bus stop.
