CHILDREN from St Gregory’s RC Primary School in Woodfield Road, Ealing, are finalists in next week’s annual London Cycling Awards for their Biking Schools Project.
They are up against entries from Hackney, Towe Hamlets and Haringey in the youth sector.
The shortlist was selected by a panel of cycling experts, with the winners due to be announced at the ceremony next Wednesday at St Martin in the Fields, Trafalgar Square, hosted by BBC Radio 2’s Jeremy Vine.
Ashok Sinha, CEO of London Cycling Campaign, said: “We received an astonishing array of applications for the Project Awards, from all corners of the capital, and the standard of entries this year was outstanding.”
The London Cycling Awards are separated into two parts, the Project Awards (in which St Gregory’s features), honouring initiatives and individual efforts within the cycling community and Consumer Awards, determined by a public vote.
