Police are appealing for information after the attempted abduction of a schoolgirl.

Shortly after school finished at 3:35pm on May 14, an 11-year-old girl in uniform was approached as she walked home by a man in Lyndhurst Drive, Leyton, and asked to go with him.

He is then said to have followed her home, but walked off as she entered the property.

The CCTV image of the suspect was obtained from Raj Supermarket, on the junction of Essex Road and James Lane.

Anyone with information should contact Waltham Forest police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
