Detectives are continuing to appeal for information after a 38-year-old man was stabbed in a suspected robbery.

The man, a Lithuanian national who has not yet been named by police, was killed by a single stab wound to the chest in Parson Street at on Thursday afternoon.

Emergency services were called at 4.45pm but he was pronounced dead at 5.28pm.

Although police believe it could have been a robbery, they say they are “keeping an open mind” at the early stage of the investigation.

A 19-year-old man and 20-year-old man were arrested and remain in custody at a north London police station.

A 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old girl were also arrested, but have since been bailed to return in September.

Yesterday, people described the scene in the aftermath of the incident, which they said was like “something out of Grand Theft Auto”.

Delivery driver Nirav Barot was on his motorbike outside Hayden Court when he saw a man lying on the footpath opposite.

He said: “I was a little bit scared. I didn’t know what was going on, but they began doing CPR and I was hoping the man would be ok. There was a lot of blood everywhere.”
