A swan died after it was attacked by two dogs in Twickenham last month.
The Swan Sanctuary in Shepperton was called to the river at Orleans Road at 6.35pm on June 10 where a team of rescuers came to the aid of two badly-injured swans and their cygnets, assisted by staff from Hammerton's Ferry.
The male swan died two days later at the sanctuary, having sustained bite wounds to his chest and wing.
The female is still being treated for an open dislocation to her knee and a broken thigh and requires surgery on her leg.
Melanie Nelson, from the sanctuary, said: "She and her babies are doing well and have settled into life here for the moment."
The cygnets avoided injury and are doing well, with their mother, at the sanctuary.
