While away a Summer Sunday afternoon with entertainment galore at a popular music festival.

Now in its 17th year, Music in Nork Park is an afternoon of relaxation for music-lovers and picnic-goers, which promises to offer something for everyone.

The event will be opening in style with a procession led by Redhill’s Corps of Drums Marching Band, followed by Vocal Blaze, the Beacon School show choir - a successful group made up of 25 students from years 7 to 13.

Sarah Pullen will be entertaining with everyone’s favourite songs from the shows and, new to the festival this year, vocalist Christie Harrison - who has performed with the likes of Donny Osmond, LuLu, Basement Jaxx and Matt Cardle - will bring the crowds up to date with songs from the 90s to the present day.

Geoff Kay and the Copa Room Swing Band will be on hand to swing audiences back to the 60s.

And last, but by no means least, Colin Roy will be back with a selection of songs in the style of the members of the Rat Pack.

But music is not all that will be on offer.

Youngsters will get to enjoy swing boats, bouncy castles, puppets, a Punch and Judy show, balloon modelling, and face-painting.  Food and drink - including burgers, hot dogs, Indian dishes, ice cream, wine, soft drinks and cakes - will be available, and a fundraising raffle will also take place, for £1 a go.

Thousands are expected through the gates, so bring plenty of sun cream, a picnic blanket or a chair and a ear for a good tune.

Any money raised on the day to will go towards 1st Nork Scouts and the Royal Marsden Hospital and the funding of next year’s event.
