Lewisham Police Station Open Day, 10am to 3pm (June 29)

Have a look inside Lewisham police station without having to get arrested first.

Europe's largest station is opening up to show off its custody suite, cells, vintage police vehicles and original artefacts.

Children have the opportunity to take part in a junior detective’s competition, and there will also be the chance to stroke police horses and speak directly to officers.

Crystal Palace Overground Festival (Until June 29)

The free family friendly festival continues all weekend with music performances, DJs, carnivals, poetry, barn dancing, barbeques, a special guest appearance by songwriter Tony Hatch and more. Go to crystalpalacefestival.org 

Little Disco Company's Secret Garden Party at The Crown and Greyhound Pub, Dulwich, 3 to 5pm (June 28)

Take your little ones to the Beach Holiday-themed garden party and show them how to dance.

Pop Tunes, disco classics and summer anthems, dancing, confetti, bubbles, face-painting will all be part of the fun, not to mention a special appearance from Mr Fruitcake.

Beneath the Blue at The Orchard Theatre, Dartford 6pm (June 28)

Gravesend Fusion Festival at Commercial Place, Gravesend, 12 to 4pm (June 28)

The free festival showcases fresh and culturally diverse talent ranging from Irish Dancing to a popular Polish Cabaret and beyond, the event celebrates music, dance and artists from around the world. 

Family Fun Day at St Christopher’s Hospice, Sydenham, 11am to 4pm (June 28)

Saturday club at Lewisham Library, 2 to 3pm (June 28)

England may have nosed dived out of the competition but show off your creative skills and celebrate the World Cup with football-related craft for children aged between 4 and 12 years. Go to lewisham.gov.uk

Great Get Together Festival and Armed Forces Day at the Royal Artillery Barracks, Woolwich, 11am to 6pm (June 28) 

The great combination of two major events brings the borough together with events including military displays, band The Loveable Rogues live on stage and a motorcycle stunt show. Go to royalgreenwich.gov.uk

Dolly Parton at The 02 (June 27 and 28)
