Police in Waltham Forest have released a CCTV image of a suspected thief.

Suspect 150763 is accused of theft at Tesco Express in Lea Bridge Road, Leyton, on June 4 at shortly before 5pm.

He allegedly stole a phone that belonged to a shopper and had been left temporarily unattended on a counter, and then exited the store. 

The CCTV images have been released to the Guardian as part of a joint venture with the Metropolitan Police to identify potential perpetrators of unsolved crimes in the borough.

Anyone with information should contact Waltham Forest police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
