The Horse Rangers Association came together with Riding for Disabled Association (RDA) for a training study session.
Staff from the UK headquarters of the RDA visited the Royal Mews, East Molesey, to study the successful training in place for those with special needs.
Matthew Cobble, volunteer coordinator for the RDA, said the visit came about after hearing great things about the rangers’ horse care and stable work.
The RDA developing a similar programme and wanted to gain ideas about how to encourage riders to get involved in different aspects of their group.
Lottie Dronfield, coordinator for participants and projects at the RDA, said: "It was fantastic to see the riders getting stuck in mucking out and grooming the horses at Horse Rangers. The venue is such a breath of fresh air and lives up to its fantastic reputation."
