Children swapped their classrooms for a golf course when they took part in an interschool tournament.

Ten pupils were chosen from seven schools to go head-to-head at Metro Golf Centre in Champions Way, Hendon.

Organised in conjunction with Barnet Partnership for School Sport, the budding golfers were tested on their skills with points awarded for each round.

It was a close contest, but St Joseph’s took the winner’s title with a total of 362 points and will go on to represent Barnet at the London Youth Games.

The Hyde School came second and Chalgrove Primary School came third.
