A fearless cadet instructor took fundraising to new heights after skydiving from 13,000ft.

Laura Paine, 21, from Carshalton made the jump for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity.

The organisation gives financial assistance to retired soldiers.

Ms Paine skydived with The Tigers- the army’s Princess of Wales Regiment freefall display team.

She took the leap on Wednesday, June 18, in Headcorn.

Ms Paine, a member of the Surrey Army Cadet Force, said: "I used to do a lot of charity work while I was at school

"When my cadet leader asked if I would do this, I jumped at the chance.

"I have never even been in a plane before, so I thought it would be good to do something really crazy and hopefully raise a lot of money for a great cause."

She initially set herself a fundraising target of £500 but has already raised £566.
