A black-tie charity dinner organised by travel and tourism students at Brooklands College raised more than £650 for Shooting Star Chase.

Guests enjoyed an evening of glamour and elegance as catering students chipped in and prepared and served the food at the college’s own training kitchen.

Students on the travel and tourism course worked together to coordinate the event, including managing the guest list, keeping to a budget and planning entertainment activities.

Student Katie Dunat said: "I am very pleased to have been involved with this successful event, which raised over £666 for the Shooting Star Chase charity.

"I have worked with staff and other students who I would not normally work with; this has built on my confidence and now I believe I can do anything I put my mind to."
