Enfield’s anti-terrorism police gave safety advice to Muslim graduates preparing to travel to Syria to visit relatives.
Members of Edmonton’s Mevlana Rumi Mosque, in Fore Street, held a celebration for dozens of students from the nearby Islamic school, including food and a bouncy castle.
But members of Enfield’s counter terrorism desk also attended last weekend's event to pass on safety advice to the young people travelling back to the region.
Counter-terrorism officer PC Robert Judge said: “This was a great opportunity to support our local communities.
“It was a mixture of fun and fellowship whilst allowing police to pass on a quite serious message. The Iman and Mosque were welcoming as always and we will look forward to our continued friendship.”
